1400mW High-power Single-mode Fiber Raman Amplifier Pump FRA-1550-1400-M Module Type
Fiber Raman amplifiers utilize the Raman scattering effect in quartz optical fibers to provide gain for optical signals and have the advantages of flat gain spectrum and large bandwidth. The first-order Raman amplifier uses 14xxnm wavelength laser as Raman pump to provide gain for C-band signal light, which can effectively compensate for the attenuation of optical signals in long-distance transmission of optical fibers. Suitable for long-distance optical transmission systems and distributed optical fiber sensing systems. *Note 1

1. The pump wavelength is customized according to the signal wavelength (1425/1435/1455/1465nm).
2. More than 500mW can be customized with multiple wavelengths.
For example: the signal in C-band, 500mW default value is 1425+1455nm;
1000mW is 1425+1435+1455+1465nm.

*Note1: This amplifier is only a Raman amplifier pump. It also needs to cooperate with the optical fiber in the user system to generate Raman gain. It is not a discrete optical fiber Raman amplifier (Discrete Raman Amplifier); usually the optical fiber length in the transmission system exceeds 50km. It is recommended to configure a distributed Raman amplifier.
*Note 2: The gain of the distributed Raman amplifier refers to the signal power comparison at the receiving end of the system when the Raman amplifier pump is on and off. It is also called the switching gain (On-Off Gain). The switching gain is different from the usual The amplifier gain in this sense does not refer to the ratio of the output power to the input power. The actual effect of the distributed Raman amplifier (Raman gain coefficient, gain flatness) is closely related to comprehensive factors such as transmission fiber type, fiber length, signal wavelength and power. The typical values here are only reference values.
